Aztec started strongly and quickly took the lead through James Denton. Andrew Elliot added a second before a Kingswood break ended in a goal for 2-1 at half time. Two further goals from James Denton to complete his hat trick and one from League debutant Alex Forward made it comfortable at the end. However the Kingswood goalkeeper had a great game with some solid goalkeeping

A good competitive game played in the right spirit by both teams. Aztec fell behind to an early goal but soon drew level with a well taken goal by Scott McKenzie. From then on they created plenty of chances but paid for not putting them away. Two defensive lapses gave Kingswood the goals they needed to win. Overall a good performance with many players getting their competitive debut.

AZTEC HAD TO BATTLE HARD AGAINST A WELL ORGANISED GENERALS TEAM. THE GAME WAS LARGELY CONTESTED IN MIDFIELD AND WAS SETTLED BY ALEX FORWARD WITH A CLINICAL FINISH WHEN PUT THROUGH. GENERALS CONTINUED TO BATTLE BUT COULD NOT MANAGE AN EQUALISER. A HARD GAME PLAYED IN GOOD SPIRIT
Under 12 Warriors Rushden Rangers 1 v 0 Aztec Warriors
Aztec were caught napping in the third minutewith Rushden taking an early lead. Despite having a lot of possession they could not force a way through the Aztec back-line with keeper Ben Daniels having a fine game. Goal scoring chances were few and Rushden did extremely well to defend their lead until the final whistle

Aztec had a lot of the ball but made nothing of it and fell behind to a solitary breakaway. Earls Barton’s lead was wiped out early in the 2nd half when James Denton scored. He scored again soon after to give Aztec the lead. However Earls Barton never gave up and equalized through a penalty near the end. Game was played in a good spirit

Stanwick took an early lead in the game and never looked back. The bright spots for Aztec were a quick passing move that resulted in a goal for Wesley Kirkton and a good performance from Callum Munns .
A 4-1 half time deficit proved too much for Aztec to recover from, heads dropped and Stanwick extended their lead to finish up easy winnersResults 30-09-07

Aztec were pushed hard in the first 20 mins and were grateful when James Denton scored. Aztec then continued to work into the second half until captain Albert Milne got a rare goal for a 2-0 cushion. Alex Forward scored another and Taylor Woods rounded off a good mornings effort.

Aztec held the upper hand over a spirited Castle Rise side. A close first 20 mins ended with James Denton finishing off a good move. Taylor Woods found space and slotted a shot in the corner to give a 2-0 half time score. Aztec missed a couple of chances before a mix up led to an own goal which gave Castle Rise heart. In the end it was Aztec that closed the game down for the win.

Aztec twice took the lead in this evenly matched encounter. First to score was Scott Mackenzie after some good build up play on 16 mins. Rockingham Forest then worked hard to equalize on 26mins.
Wesley Kirkton lobbed the keeper half way through the second half for 2-1, but the Colts stuck to the task and equalized 10 minutes from time. A good game where both teams were a credit to their clubs.Under 12s Braves Hellenic Fisher 2 v 3 Aztec Youth

AZTEC WERE EXPECTING A HARD GAME AND GOT IT.CONDITIONS WERE DIFFICULT AND HARD WORK THE ANSWER. JAMES DENTON OPENED THE SCORING MID WAY IN THE FIRST HALF. A SOFT GOAL WAS CONCEDED TO MAKE IT 1-1 AT HALF TIME. DENTON GOT HIS SECOND MID WAY IN THE SECOND HALF BUT IT WAS SOON EQUALISED. ALEX FORWARD WENT ON A SOLO RUN FROM THE RIGHT AND FINISHED, WITH LITTLE TIME LEFT, TO WIN THE GAME.

A competitive game fought out in poor conditions. Bradley Byrnes notched his first two goals of the season for Aztec to cap a very good personal performance

This was an expected close contest as always. Aztec played confidently in the first half with Ryan Kendall on form but it was reliable James Denton that scored off a through ball for 1-0 half time. Another solo effort beginning on the half way line by Alex Forward made it 2-0. Thrapston kept pressing and got a goal which made the last 10mins frantic, but Aztec held on.

Aztec were always facing an uphill battle after Desborough stormed into a 3-0 lead within 10 minutes But all credit to them as they deservedly pulled themselves back into the game with goals from Joseph Chapman and Wesley Kirkton and a fine penalty save from Ben Daniels. It remained at 3-2 until the final ten minutes when Desborough’s strong forward line broke Aztec’s resolve with a late flurry of goals and a final consolation goal by Bradley Byrnes for the away team .

The two teams went stride for stride from the off but it was Aztec that created a decent chance via effort that was coolly finished by James Denton. Within 5 mins the ball fell to Alex Forward who also clinically finished. After half time Ise Lodge turned the screw and Aztec were tested but the team held strong and were rewarded when the prolific James Denton scored again.

A good contest with both teams looking to get their first win of the season. Aztec took the lead in the first minute through an on form Wesley Kirkton and Falcons then drew level with a looping shot that caught out Aztecs keeper in the high wind. Scott Mackenzie then added two more goals in the second half, although Falcons had the final say with an injury time goal to make the final score 3-2.

The game was played in awful conditions and credit to both teams for sticking at it. Latecomer Alex Forward came off the bench to score the opening goal when put through before half time. Thrapston made the conditions pay with good pressure and got an equalizer. A draw looked favorite but not by Alex Forward’s reckoning as he went on a run, rounded the keeper and scored in the last minute. We all said Phew!! And went home to thaw out.

Aztec failed to show for this game result was never in doubt. Great Doddington were always quicker to the ball and lapses in the Aztec side allowed them to gain the advantage. Four goals in the last six minutes finished off the Warriors who must work hard and lift themselves to play the return fixture in two weeks time

This cup tie was played and reffed in fine spirit. Ferrers started well and duly went one up. Aztec kept playing and created a couple of chances that were missed. In the second half Aztec were stronger and got a gift to make it 1-1 when James Denton scored. Alex Forward made it 2-1 but this quickly equalized to bring extra time. Ferrers got the decisive goal late in the second period and there was no way back for Aztec

The usual close game was played in good spirit for the third time this year. A nip and tuck opening period saw Thrapston take the lead after a clever dribble. Alex Forward scored again to level with a chase and impressive finish. In the second half Aztec pressed and Jack Bates scored from distance with a crisp shot. Thrapston rallied but could not equalize.

This was miss-match on paper but played in good spirit considering. Finedon were depleted but showed they had good players on the field. Our pressure eventually told and we rolled in 13 goals which included some clinical finishes. Alex Forward led with 4, James Denton followed with 2, James Mason, Ryan Kendall, Taylor Woods, Mathew Bates all got 1. There wer first goals of the season from Cameron Knox, Thomas McLaren, Samuel Roy to complete the rout.

An extremely tough game for the Warriors to face against an in-form Cobras side from a higher division. Cobras built their tally up steadily but Aztec were always looking to take the game to them at every opportunity with Wesley Kirkton notching a well deserved goal. The second half started better for Aztec and there were a number of chances to claw back a goal but Cobras ultimately finished them off to go through to the next round

This was a good game played in windy conditions .Aztec started well created a few half chances until Taylor Woods lashed one in the top corner just before half time .The second half was against the wind and the lads had to work hard .They were rewarded when James Denton caused confusion in the defense and the ball ran for James Mason to tap in .A good all round performance .

Braves started very well and went 1-0 up inside two mins when James Denton scored. It stayed that way until half time. The biting wind behind, Aztec piled pressure on and Ryan Kendall scored from 25 yards. He soon after dribbled and crossed for Taylor Woods to slot home. Ryan Davidson took over and got two goals before Woods got his second to make it 6-0. Credit to Castle Rise who made us work throughout

A good competitive game in which Aztec paid for chances not taken in the second half.
In very difficult windy conditions Colts took they lead with a flighted shot that beat the keeper in the air. Halfway through the second half a long ball finally beat the offside trap for Colts to run on and double their tally. Aztec then came back and a number of chances were created to bring the game back but they were not taken and the score remained 2-0 at the final whistle.

Hellenic have always provided stiff opposition when opposing us. Aztec went into the lead when a corner was cleared but whipped back in for James Mason to score. Hellenic quickly equalized from an own goal from their corner. Thomas McLaren finished off a solo run just after half time for 2-0. Hellenic put through their own net from our corner and Taylor Woods scored a fourth again from a corner to complete an organized performance

Finedon took the lead on 8 minutes with a high looping shot that beat the Aztec defensive line. Despite working hard first half Aztec could not breakthrough Finedon’s defense.Aztec only woke up in the second half after Finedon had doubled their lead. Then constant Aztec pressure paid off with Jack Whitworth scoring his first of the season and then Bradley Byrnes equalizing. Overall a determined display from the lads , Well Done

This eagerly awaited top of the table clash got off to a flying start for Aztec when James Denton scored after 2 mins. Ise Lodge hit straight back when a cross drifted in the far corner. Ise Lodge controlled the game and went 2-1 ahead mid half. Aztec were held to scraps but were happy when one fell to Alex Forward who showed quality to place it over the keeper for 2-2. Aztec tightened up and competed better in the second half where Ise Lodge missed a penalty and Aztec missed a couple of decent chances

At last a result worth of the performance From the kick off Aztec took the game to a hard working and determined Ise Lodge team. That paid off in the 21st minute with a lofted ball from Matthew Hill that beat the keeper to make the half time score 1-0. Soon after half-time Wesley Kirkton raced on to through ball to make it 2-0. With better finishing Aztec could have added to the lead but a good game ended Nil Two

The wind was a deciding feature of this game. Earls Barton played with it first and deservedly took the lead 1-0 into half time. Aztec toiled in the second half and equalized from a corner through Albert Milne. A draw looked favourite until the last 30 secs . when Taylor Woods finished with crisp shot to land the points

After recent improvements in form of late, much was expected from Aztec especially after taking an early lead with a fine goal
from Wesley Kirkton on 8 minutes. But instead of capitaIising on this Great Doddington forced a quick equaliser and then just on half time two soft goals were conceded to make it 3-1. It was a much improved second half but Aztec could not get a goal and the game finished at 3-1.

Kingswood began the match in good fashion with some sharp passing moves. Aztec came into the match and scored through James Denton. Another followed when an unfortunate own goal went in. In the second half Aztec scored a third when Alex Forward’ shot found the net. James Mason completed the scoring with a solo effort near the end

A game where Aztec competed start to finish, but let in sloppy goals due to loss of concentration. An early Kingswood goal
was quickly equalised by Wesley Kirkton with a fine finish from outside the area. Kingswood then forged ahead with three quick goals, one of which being a debatable penalty to make the half time score 4-1. Bradley Byrnes then scored with a fine effort early in the second half and the game was evenly matched with both teams having chances, Keeper Ben Daniels also was in excellent form. Two late goals made the final score 6-2 which did not do the lads justice for their efforts.
