Aztec Match Reports & Scorers
Girls Under 11s Rothwell Ladies 4 v 1 Aztec Girls
Emma Harvey 1
This game is becoming a local derby, with both sets of girls giving every effort possible. It took Rothwell 20 mins to score through a very resilient F C Aztec defence. Second half Rothwell scored early on but, Aztec made some changes, this put immense pressure on Rothwells goal with Emma Harvey scoring. The game could have gone either way, but Rothwell scored 2 lucky goals. F C Aztec felt a draw would have been a fair result. Keep going Aztec, well done.

This Game had a Warriors win written all over it, wave after wave of attacks seen Warriors camp in Weekly’s half. Second half saw much of the same with some promising football being played but another counter attack gave Weekly the cushion and a 2-0 win

Under 12s Warriors Rockingham Colts 2 v 2 Aztec Warriors
Wesley Kirton 1 Scott McKenzie 1
Aztec twice took the lead in this evenly matched encounter. First to score was Scott Mackenzie after some good build up play on 16 mins. Rockingham Forest then worked hard to equalize on 26mins.
Wesley Kirkton lobbed the keeper half way through the second half for 2-1, but the Colts stuck to the task and equalized 10 minutes from time. A good game where both teams were a credit to their clubs.Under 13s Finedon Vics 2 v 1 Aztec Youth
Aztec didn’t deserve to lose this game and for most of the game were the better team. They started the game with a stand in keeper after Simon West injured his thumb before the game, but he only lasted 5 minutes before he was also injured. Sam Lee went in goal and gave a man of the match performance. Aztec had chances to score but didn’t take them; nothing seemed to go Aztec’s way and just when things were going well the ref made a few questionable decisions.
Under 14s Aztec Youth 4 v 1 Thrapston Town
Brandon Ravenscroft 2 Kalon Peniasko 1 Charlie Hillyer 1
A closer game than the score looked Thrapston put Aztec under pressure but did not have the luck in front of goal. Aztec Brandon Ravenscroft scored a shot from 20yds out witch gave the keeper no chance and his second was not bad
Under 15s Kettering Generals 2 v 2 Aztec Youth
Ellis Rayson 1 Chris Reid 1
Aztec gained their 1st point of the season and with the possession they had possibly deserved all 3.In an opening period dominated largely by the visitors it was Generals who took the lead against the run of play, but Ellis Rayson took his chance for Aztec and it was left all square at the break.Early in the second period Generals where awarded a penalty and it was well converted giving them a 2-1 advantage. But Aztec never gave up and their pressure was soon rewarded with an equalizing penalty converted by Chris Reid.A good team performance from Aztec with George Parker commanding at the back and Tom Coe surging on from the midfield.
Under 16s Aztec Youth 5 v 3 Finedon Vics

Aztec made hard work of this game and were lucky to come away with the points .Finedon put them under pressure and had Aztec on the back foot for long periods
Under 18s Aztec Youth 15 v 1 Brackley Sports
Aztec took an early lead in the game and were in total control of the game from then on if it was not for the Brackley keeper the score could have been a lot more
