Under 8s Warriors Aztec Braves 3 v 2 Aztec Warriors
Dominic Cotterill 1 Darrison Coull 1
A fine game between two well matched sides saw the Braves just come out on top
Under 9s Braves Aztec Braves 2 v 1 Ise Lodge Eagles
Regan Barrs 1 Cameron Hale 1
A decent start from the braves with some good passing and link up play. But they just couldn’t find that cutting edge in front of goal against a very good Ise defense. Ise had a couple of breaks and scored an unfortunate own goal just before the break. The second half Aztec battled hard and leveled the game through a well reacted finish from Cameron hale at the far post. From then onwards it was nail biting stuff and Aztec scored the winner 2 minutes before the end through Regan Barrs
Under 9s Warriors Aztec Warriors 0 v 4 Weekley Wonders
A very good and solid start from the warriors against a wonders side who haven’t been beaten at the central venue for a couple of seasons. Warriors battled and defended and passed well until 2 minutes before the break, when a weekley forward wasn’t picked up and we went in 1-0 down at the break. The second half saw weekley dominate possession. Even this did not stop warriors trying to get something from this tie.4-0 a little harsh scoreline as warriors deserved something from this game.
Under 10s Braves Weekley Roma 3 v 2 Aztec Braves
John Butler 1 Connor York 1
Aztec were never really in the game today despite taking the lead half way through the first half, though Weekley were quick to equalize. Second half saw Weekley go 3-1 up with Aztec getting a late consolation
Under 10s Warriors Burton Youth United 5 v 0 Aztec Warriors
An outstanding display from Edward West in goal seen the match finish in less than double figures, A good first half up the hill finished 0-0 but the Aztec defense went walk about in the second half and under constant pressure they leaked 5 goals.
Under 11s Higham Colts 1 v 5 Aztec Youth
Zach Anderson 1 Ryan Burton 1 Jamie Frayne 1 Niall McCormack 1 Robbie Read 1
Aztec avenged an earlier defeat with an excellent all round team performance. Robbie Read opened the scoring after only 3 minutes with a well taken goal Zach Anderson doubled the lead 10 minutes later .Higham had a couple of good chances before half time but the Aztec goal keeper was in fine form .After the break it was much the same with Aztec scoring three more times through Niall McCormack his first goal for the club, Ryan Burton and Jamie Frayne .Higham kept battling and got a deserved consolation
Under 12s Braves Aztec Youth 4 v 1 Hellenic Fisher
James Mason 1 Thomas McLaren 1 Talor Woods 1
Hellenic have always provided stiff opposition when opposing us. Aztec went into the lead when a corner was cleared but whipped back in for James Mason to score. Hellenic quickly equalized from an own goal from their corner. Thomas McLaren finished off a solo run just after half time for 2-0. Hellenic put through their own net from our corner and Taylor Woods scored a fourth again from a corner to complete an organized performance
Under 12s Warriors Finedon Vics 2 v 2 Aztec Warriors
Bradley Byrnes 1 Jack Whitworth 1
Finedon took the lead on 8 minutes with a high looping shot that beat the Aztec defensive line. Despite working hard first half Aztec could not breakthrough Finedon’s defense.Aztec only woke up in the second half after Finedon had doubled their lead. Then constant Aztec pressure paid off with Jack Whitworth scoring his first of the season and then Bradley Byrnes equalizing. Overall a determined display from the lads , Well Done
Under 13s Whitworths Youth 5 v 0Aztec Youth
Aztec could not reproduce the form that they showed last week and looked second best for most of the game need to be more consistent in every game not just one game
Under 14s Raunds Tigers 7 v 0 Aztec Youth
Aztec could not reproduce the attitude they had last week in the reverse fixture and looked as though they were second best in all departments of the game.
Under 15s Aztec Youth 2 v 0 Vicarage Farm
Jordan Capps 1 Joshua Perkins 1
Aztec fought back from last weeks heavy defeat with a hard fought victory over a strong Farm side The visitors started brightly but Aztec held firm at the back and cut out the danger but where also slightly fortunate when a defensive lapse lead to Farm hitting the bar.
That was as good at it got for the visitors Aztec taking full advantage of the miss and scoring twice before the break courtesy of Josh Perkins and Jordan Capps both created with good work from Aiden Large.
The second half again was very even with defenses on top but Aztec held out for a battling 2-0 victory.
Under 16s Aztec Youth 3 v 0 Kettering Generals
Kyle Locklin 2 Callum Walker 1
Aztec came out on top in a very competitive game.
Both sides playing some good football Aztec played the ball well out from the back and it was one of the best games they have played since start of the season
